My nanna inspired me to become a florist - when I was little, we used to arrange Sweet Peas from her garden together. Floristry is all I ever wanted to do. I got my first experience at 14, when on school placement, then began working at a local florist whilst studying at college. I love the creative side of floristry, and there’s nothing better than being given the freedom to create something out of beautiful flowers. Funeral flowers also mean a lot to me – creating something special for people to help them say goodbye.

Florist, Pickering & Malton
I grew up in Poland, and was inspired to be a florist by all the beautiful flowers and stunning plants that grow there. My favourite aspect of floristry is using seasonal flowers to bring a real sense of time and place to arrangements, and using my creativity to bring a special, personal touch to someone’s gift. Outside of the shop, I enjoy exercising, eating out, travelling and spending time together with family and friends.
